Brought the 18 week half marathon training plan, not only was it built for me but Graeme spent more than 1 hour discussing my previous training and how we could make improvements to it. He then explained in detail what training we should focus on and the results we should expect. I met Graeme, and we decided that he would become my coach. He asked if I ate a lot of bread and pasta and told me to stop doing moderately hard sessions, also known as JRA (Just Riding Around). Training should be either very easy or very hard – no more in-between. This turned out to be the key to success. Besides increasing my FTP to 300 watts, my main objective was to complete Vätternrundan in under 8 hours. Thanks to Graeme, I made it.
