Event Overview
Capital to Coast (C2C) is a multi-day running event held from Friday 28 August to Sunday 30 August 2026, travelling from Canberra, ACT to the NSW South Coast. The event covers 100km across nine stages at various locations along the route. Entrants can run all stages as a solo participant or share the workload in relay teams of up to four runners. Stage scheduling spans a Friday prologue, Saturday stages, and Sunday stages.
What the Course Demands
The course is described as a varied route that combines multiple terrain types and includes a range of elevation across the nine stages. Individual stages are typically around 8–15km, so effort needs to be managed across repeated starts and finishes rather than a single continuous run. With two main race days plus a prologue, recovery between stages and consistent pacing become practical considerations for both solo and relay participants.
Who This Event Suits Best
This event suits runners who enjoy stage-based racing and want a structured, multi-day challenge with flexibility in how the distance is completed. Solo runners looking to cover the full nine-stage 100km will generally need strong endurance and resilience across consecutive days. Relay teams can make it accessible for runners who prefer shorter efforts while still being part of a longer point-to-point event.
