Event Overview
Tour De Noosa – Garth Prowd Ride is a 28km community ride held in Noosa Heads, Queensland, on Friday 30 October 2026. The event runs as an out-and-back format, starting from the Noosa Heads Surf Lifesaving Club with a listed start time of 6.00am (subject to change). Riders self-seed into categories based on average speed. Check-in is scheduled on race morning between 5.00am and 5.45am.
What the Course Demands
The route follows a section of the Noosa Tri bike course, heading from Noosa Heads out to the top of Gyndier Drive before returning to town. With an out-and-back layout, athletes can expect a clear turnaround point and a straightforward pacing rhythm. The profile is described as cruisy and includes rolling terrain, which rewards steady output and smooth changes in effort across rises.
Who This Event Suits Best
This ride suits cyclists looking for a short, early-morning event with a social, self-seeded format. It can work well for newer riders seeking an organised group environment, as well as experienced cyclists who prefer a controlled effort rather than a long-distance day. With a 14-year minimum age requirement, it also fits junior riders who are comfortable riding in event conditions.
