Event Overview
WSTC Duathlon Series: Race 4 is the fourth event in Western Suburbs Triathlon Club’s 2026 duathlon series, held at the Altona Beach foreshore in Victoria on Sunday, 18 October 2026. The race follows a run-bike-run format with multiple distance options designed to suit different ages and ability levels. Registration is run from the club rooms near the Altona Surf Life Saving Club on the Esplanade, with both pre-entry collection and on-the-day entry available.
What the Course Demands
The course uses the Altona foreshore area, with the run legs set along the foreshore path and the bike leg covering the full length of the Esplanade. With two separate runs around a central bike segment, athletes need to manage pacing across repeated changes in effort and keep transitions tidy. Distances are short to moderate, so execution and rhythm through the run-bike-run sequence matter as much as raw speed.
Who This Event Suits Best
This event suits athletes wanting a structured duathlon option within a club-based series setting, including newer participants stepping up from shorter formats and more experienced racers sharpening run-bike-run skills. The Dash and Enticer options provide accessible entries for developing athletes within the stated age categories, while the Sprint option is appropriate for those comfortable sustaining a harder effort across all three legs.
