Event Overview
Beerwah@Daybreak is a Run Queensland event held on 6 December 2026 at Mt Beerwah on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. The program includes three distances: 10km, half marathon, and marathon. Starts are scheduled for early morning, with the marathon beginning at 4am, the half marathon at 6am, and the 10km at 7am. All races start and finish at the base of Mt Beerwah.
What the Course Demands
This course is designed to be a sustained test rather than a steady rhythm run, with meaningful climbing across all distances. Published elevation gain is 294m for the 10km and 586m for the half marathon, while the marathon completes two laps of the half marathon course for 1172m gain. Marathon pacing is influenced by a first-lap cutoff at 7:45am before starting the second loop.
Who This Event Suits Best
Beerwah@Daybreak suits runners who are comfortable managing effort over undulating terrain and staying attentive to course marking at intersections. The 10km can work as an introduction for newer trail runners, while the half marathon and marathon are better suited to athletes with a solid endurance base and confidence handling longer climbs and descents over multiple hours.
