The 2026 edition is scheduled for Sunday 8 November 2026, with the start at Cedar Flats second picnic area (Red Cedar Park) in Dundas, Queensland, and a finish near Maiala picnic area at Mount Glorious. TRAQ notes two start waves in the morning and a course cut-off time of 11:30am. Entrants must be 18+.
What the Course Demands
This course is defined by sustained climbing and long descents, with TRAQ listing 1,200m of total elevation gain and 650m of descent across 22km. The route climbs out of Cedar Flats, drops to the England Creek midpoint checkpoint, then features a continuous 600m climb toward Mount Glorious before a flatter run to the finish. It is a remote setting, and athletes must carry 1L of water.
Who This Event Suits Best
Mount Glorious Mountain Trails suits runners comfortable with extended climbs, extended descents, and managing effort across a point-to-point style route. It is best matched to athletes who have experience pacing hilly courses and who are prepared for a longer time on feet relative to the distance. With an 18+ entry requirement and a stated cut-off, it may not suit first-time event runners.
