Event Overview
Spring Cycle is a closed-road cycling event in Sydney, starting from St Leonards Park in North Sydney. Riders can choose between a 10km City Ride and a 50km Classic Ride, both featuring the Sydney Harbour Bridge and sections through the CBD on car-free roads. The 10km option finishes at Pirrama Park in Pyrmont, while the 50km route continues through Sydney’s Inner West to a finish at Cathy Freeman Park, Sydney Olympic Park.
Event details are based on the 2025 edition and may be subject to change for 2026.
What the Course Demands
Both rides require steady pacing and confident group-riding awareness in a large, moving field with rolling start windows. The 10km course is short and suits controlled efforts while staying predictable around other riders. The 50km Classic Ride adds more time in the saddle and generally benefits from managing effort across changing city sections. Rest stops are provided on the 50km route, while the 10km relies on start/finish services.
Who This Event Suits Best
The 10km City Ride suits newer riders, families, and those returning to cycling who want a shorter, supported route on closed roads. The 50km Classic Ride suits riders comfortable maintaining a consistent pace over a longer distance and navigating a busy event environment. Both options suit athletes who value straightforward logistics, defined start/finish venues, and a structured ride-day format.
